Our Diesel Engine division has developed kits for virtually all of the engines from Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, and Perkins. We also supply Diesel Insulation Blankets for most of the United States Coast Guard vessels.
Insulation kits are now available for the Dodge-Cummins Diesel Truck. These thermal insulation soft-blankets will help to eliminate two common problems inherent to diesel engines: Excessive Heat and Noise.
Use of the ‘Quiet Kit’ will not only result in an increase in thermal efficiency of the engine, but will also noticeably decrease the sound (dB) level in the cab.

The Basic Kit will provide the greatest sound reduction and is designed primarily for cab comfort.
The Reflective Hood Blanket and Oil Pan Cover (below) contain .5” of high temperature fiberglass + .25” Silica Glass and a layer of dB foam (sound blocker). Both pieces are designed to reduce outside noise.

If you are unable to afford the entire ‘Quiet Kit,’ we recommend that you start with the Oil Pan Cover and the Valve Cover. Both pieces will significantly reduce wheel well noise during cold starts.
Perhaps the greatest benefit you can expect from installing the complete kit is peace of mind! We all know how difficult it is have a normal conversation while the truck is running. I am ATP’s President, Tim Thompson, and I experienced this first-hand the day I drove my 1999 Dodge Dooley home. After my wife’s first ride in my new truck, she vowed not to ride in it again until I did something about the noise; that is how the idea for this kit was born. With a little help from ATP’s sound engineers, we developed this kit, which performed beyond all of our expectations – I was able enjoy my radio at low volume and speak comfortably with my passengers. My truck still gave off the great Cummins sound but in a manageable way.
